Fabdec has demonstrated its commitment to innovation by investing in a state-of-the-art laser welder, the first of its kind in the UK.
The purchase of the Pillowplate laser welding system will allow the company to increase capacity and manufacture both standard and bespoke heat exchanger plates up to 2 metres wide by 7 metres long for dairy, brewery and other process industries that require cooling, heating and heat recovery applications. We can manufacture plates to the optimum efficient design for heating or cooling. These can be supplied as single plates or as manifolded assemblies.
This is alongside improving operator safety and product quality using automated processes.
The welder also reduces the number of consumables required for optimum operation, also providing significant energy savings and improving Fabdec’s sustainable credentials.
