Plate coolers are very efficient at taking heat out of milk and play an important role in ensuring milk is cooled quickly for storage. Using mains or ice water they reduce the demand for electrical energy and are extremely cost effective. Current estimates show that an extra 1°C reduction could save you up to £500 a year with the right plate cooler (based on 3 million litres production at 35p/kWh). Fabdec QUANTUS plate coolers are manufactured from high quality stainless steel. They are wall-mounted with clip on gaskets for ease of replacement. Floor-mounting is also an option. Fabdec MAGNUS plate coolers are manufactured to the same high quality but are floor-mounted with large format plates for high performance and are suitable for a high milk flow of up to 18,000 litres per hour.

Tubular pre-coolers are primarily used for robotic milking farms. The stainless steel tube in tube design allows paraflow heat exchange, and is insulated for optimum performance. Unlike a traditional plate cooler, SPIRA-KOOL has no gaskets, so only the inner stainless tube is in milk contact and can withstand high pressure compressed air, during the milk purge & wash cycle. Mains, well water or ice water can all be used as coolant methods.

How often do you use the footbath? And how often do you replace the water? On most farms there is simply not enough time. However, not replenishing the solution regularly can make the footbath spread infections.
FOOT-WASH Pro deals with these issues in an efficient way.
1. The cows are counted automatically.
2. When the set number of cows has passed through, the drain opens automatically.
3. The gate is as wide as the footbath so the used liquid can drain quickly.
4. The footbath tray is cleared with a powerful jet spray.
5. The gate closes again.
6. The footbath is refilled with fresh water.
