“We had inherited some Fabdec tanks from another brewery when we set up in 2009. Having been impressed with those original 12 barrel tanks and having won several awards for the quality of our beer, when the time came to increase our capacity and brew into larger tanks we were keen to use the same fabricator. Fabdec designed the tanks to our specific requirements, amending the designs, suggesting enhancements and identifying areas where savings could be made. We were very happy with the tanks, which have served us well and we continue to use Fabdec for our brewing tank requirements.”

“Fabdec delivered outstanding service and support. I was aware of their long experience in stainless steel manufacturing, and felt very comfortable using their bespoke design team. I must say I am delighted with the equipment they have produced, and the finish quality of the vessels. I would recommend both their manufacturing approach and final products to anyone who wants to be involved in all aspects of the design of brewery vessels and requires a high standard of workmanship.”

Founded in 2011, The Red Kite Brewery's exceptionally rapid growth and popularity for its beers, which include award winning CWRW GORSLA and CARMARTHEN PALE ALE and SANTA’S LITTLE BELTER, meant that within just 2 years the brewery needed to expand, relocating to Llantrisant next door to the Royal Mint, from its humble beginnings in Gorslas, Carmarthenshire, and increasing production capacity by over 400%. Head Brewer Iain Masson, an industry veteran with 33 years experience at Bass, Greene King and Hardy & Hanson, was keen not only to tailor a brewery to his exact requirements but to have to plant manufactured to the highest quality within a tight timescale in order to meet the growing demands on the Brewery's products.

In co-operation with Fabdec, Red Kite worked together to custom design and manufacture a bespoke 35 barrel brewing plant, to include a Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun, Underback / Hopback and Gas-Fired Copper Brewing Kettle.
