Fabdec appoints new South West technical sales agent
Manufacturer Fabdec is continuing its growth in the South West of England with the appointment of Grant Williams as technical sales agent.

Grant will be working in the south west of the country to develop the Fabdec brand within the HVAC and building services sectors, while maintaining key accounts and installers across the region.

West Midlands-based Fabdec is one of the UK’s leading heating and cooling manufacturers, providing water heating systems for commercial and domestic buildings. The company, which is headquartered in Ellesmere, Shropshire, and has more than 150 staff, has identified the South West as a key area for growth.

Grant, 54, from Chippenham in Wiltshire, has extensive experience in the domestic and commercial heating industry, as well as experience in building services being an accredited Part L SAP assessor. He has worked as an agent for 14 years for various manufacturing companies including British Gas, Worcester Heat Systems and Viessmann.

Grant said: “I’m looking forward to joining the team at Fabdec as it gives me the opportunity to open new doors with existing and new clients in the South West.

“I will be looking to create more contacts for the business across the region, connecting with consultants, architects, local authorities, housing associations and contractors to raise the profile of Fabdec in the area.”

One key product that Grant will be working with is the unique Excelsior I unvented water heating range, which Fabdec launched in 2015 and is patented with 3S Technology. The revolutionary 3S Technology is the first true self-sustaining cylinder, based on an internal expansion system that greatly reduces the need for maintenance and upkeep.

Grant said: “The unique feature within the Excelsior I range means it has the opportunity to greatly reduce the ongoing maintenance for both local authorities and housing associations and as such it has real advantages for both sectors.”

Chris Powell, Fabdec managing director, said: “We are very excited to have Grant on board to work with us as we expand in the South West. We see a lot of opportunities for Fabdec in the region and with Grant’s industry knowledge and network of contacts we are planning for sustainable long-term growth.”

World’s first expandable milk cooling silo joins DARI-KOOL range

The world’s first expandable vertical milk cooling silo has been introduced to Fabdec’s DARI-KOOL range to help meet the needs of growing dairy herds.

HI-KOOL has been specifically designed with an eye to the future, providing dairy farmers with the opportunity to expand the existing tank upwards should production increase. This means, rather than lose out on their initial investment, producers can simply add on more volume up to a total capacity of 40,000litres.

Dairy farmers also have the optional extra of installing an alcove. This means the silo, which is positioned outside, can be accessed from inside the adjacent building.

For more information on the Hi-KOOL milk silo and the rest of the DARI-KOOL range give us a call on 01691 627 200.

Fabdec launches Cluster Purge Plus

At the recent Ploughing Match in Ratheniska, Ireland, Fabdec were pleased to launch Cluster Purge Plus, a further improved version of the cluster disinfection system.

The new program gives the option of having a fresh water rinse after the disinfectant flush. This ensures the liners are clear of any chemical residues, thus prolonging the life of the liners. For swingover parlours there is also a milk sweep function that sends any remaining milk back into the milk line prior to flushing.

Whilst keeping the same quality, we have also managed to simplify the installation set-up so that the milking process remains uninterrupted.

Award for Technology, Enterprise & Innovation

Fabdec were recently invited to take part in the Shropshire Business Awards 2015.
As pioneers in the development of unvented water heating systems and with the release of our new 3S technology we had no hesitation in entering for the award for 'Technology, Enterprise and Innovation'.
Fabdec's ‘Self-Sustaining System’, also known as 3S Technology, includes an internal expansion device that is automatically replenished using a technology known as the 'Venturi effect'. It means there is no need for an unsightly expansion vessel and the internal expansion does not have to manually recharged. This is why we call it the ‘Self-Sustaining System’!
Going back to the awards - unfortunately Fabdec did not win on the night but we were pleased to be within the 4 finalists!
